How will I learn?

 

Through a combination of theory and practical work for e.g. organising events or setting up a small business. Alternatively, the qualification will provide a basis for gaining employment in business administration

 

 

 

 

At level 1 this qualification provides evidence of competence of being in a supporting role in an office environment. Optional units provide opportunity to show understanding and skills in a variety of areas.

This programme has been designed to provide a broad educational basis for further training and further education or for moving into appropriate employment within the business and administration sectors.

 

       Progression

 

Students who pass may progress onto a level 2 qualifications such as a level 2 Diploma in Business. Students would also be able to gain entry to employment at an appropriate level within business.

Upon successful completion of this course students can study another Level 1 course, for example, BTEC Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge; or  go on to GCSE or other vocational Level 2 courses in the college, such as BTEC First Diploma in Business. On completion of this qualification students may want to progress on to Business Administration level 2 as an Apprenticeship which can done at Manchester College.
